|REPORTS TO:||Electrical Engineering Manager|
Designs circuits for data acquisition and control using microprocessors and DSP, including front end interfaces and A-to-D converters for use in downhole high temperature systems for Oil & Gas wells.
This is a more junior position with several years of electrical engineering design experience preferred, but a recent college graduate would also be considered if the graduate has some experience/knowledge with embedded systems circuits (microprocessor or DSPs).
We are looking for someone that can design circuits, including generating schematics, selecting components and work with the PCB layout personnel. This position would then have assemblers build the prototype and verify proper operation and qualify the design for high temperature operation. Our Electrical Engineering design team will help by providing guidance in designing for high temperature.
This position will work with a design team and include and modify as needed existing qualified circuits when appropriate. In some applications, new components may need to be selected, incorporated and verified.
Also, some of the designs required may be for special test systems for in-house designed electronic boards. Knowledge and experience with designing the test, test setup and any special circuits to simulate inputs/output to the device under test will be beneficial.
